Western Division Board
The Western Divisional Board is the administrative body for the Gaelic Athletic Association in Northern California, at present this encompasses the Greater Bay Area. It is responsible for scheduling fixtures and appointing referees for games at our home fields on Treasure Island, handling registrations and supporting new club development initiatives.

Gaelic Games have been played in the San Francisco area for over a hundred years, the board in it's present form has been active since the late 1970's.

2017 USGAA Finals a great success!




San Francisco GAA and the 2017 USGAA Finals Host Committee would like to congratulate all the SFGAA clubs who competed in the Finals over the Labor Day Weekend!. We would also like to thank all our volunteers for giving up their personal time and helping us make the 2017 USGAA Finals a great success.

Hard luck to the following SFGAA Teams who competed at the 2017 USGAA Finals; Na Fianna who were defeated by Austin in the Junior A Hurling Semi Final. Eire Og who lost to Philadelphia in the Junior "B" Football Semi Final. St. Joseph's who lost to Madison in the Junior "B" Hurling Quarter Final, Fog City Harps who lost to Erin Rovers in the Junior A Ladies Football Final and to Charlotte in the Senior Ladies Football Final. Sean Treacys who lost the Senior Football Final to Shannon Blues.

2017 SFGAA Championship Semi Final Results from Treasure Island on Sunday the 13th of August:


10:00am, Junior Football Semi Final: Sons of Boru/Celts were unable to field a team against Pearse Og.

11:20am, Junior Hurling Semi Final: St. Josephs 3.16 defeated Naomh Padraig 2.06.

12:40pm, Senior Hurling Semi Final: Naomh Padraig 4.16 defeated Na Fianna 2.18, in a very entertaining and hard fought game.

2:00pm, Junior Hurling Semi Final: Tipperary defeated Na Fianna.

3:20pm, Senior Football Semi Final: Young Irelanders/St. Brendans 1.10 defeated Ulster 0.05. A game where YISB set out to control possession and limit Ulster's attack. They must have been happy with a Half Time score of; 1.04 to 0.03, a lead they did not look like giving up.

4:40pm, Junior Football Semi Final: Sean Treacys defeated Ulster.


SFGAA CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS WILL BE HOSTED ON TREASURE ISLAND NEXT SUNDAY AUGUST 20TH.
